In this episode, we explore the importance of taking time to harness the power of Customer Data Platforms.

To Citizen Watch, time is everything. But increasingly, so is Data.

Steeped in the watchmaking industry, Citizen Watch dates all the way back to the 19th century. Although many of its products are timeless, it has guarded against being stuck in time warp – smart watches now sit comfortably alongside traditional timepieces in its range. Like other brands, Citizen now has one eye firmly on DTC opportunities, beyond its traditional wholesale model. That demands an ability to manage and make sense of data effectively if it is to elevate its personalised customer experiences.

Companies like Amperity are under pressure to deliver data platforms that help retail brands to overcome the problem of inherently messy customer data, but they are not running scared. For all sides involved, getting it right matters.

Host Karl McKeever sits down with Citizen Watch VP Customer Insights & Data Management, Rob Harvath, and Amperity Chief Customer Officer, Dan Milgrom to discuss how customer data platforms can connect the dots for improved customer engagement; why establishing a singular source-of-truth for customer data matters; the importance of adopting a “question everything” approach; and how to create a data-driven culture, to keep things ticking.

Presented by Amperity.
