The Interview
18 MINS LISTEN

In this episode of The Interview Series, host Karl McKeever is joined in conversation by Peter Pernot-Day, Global Head of Strategy & Corporate Affairs at online fast-fashion giant, Shein.

Founded in China in 2012, Shein operates in more than 150 countries and boasts 150m users globally. In 2022, it was valued at over $100bn, at which point it was worth more than H&M and Zara's parent company, Inditex, combined.

Rumours continue to swirl about a potential flotation on the London Stock Exchange for the online fashion behemoth that would value it at about £50bn and rank among the most significant deals in the UK’s capital markets for years.

One of the world's fastest growing apparel retailers, Peter joins us to offer an insight into the brand's unique digitally-enabled supply chain model that is delivering low single-digit inventory waste. We also discuss the importance of supply chain diligence and why empowering relationships with supplier partners is key to success.

Recorded at Shoptalk Europe.
