In this episode, host Mark Faithfull is joined by Sarah Clark, CEO of Cornwall-based organic clothing brand, Frugi.
Pollution, high carbon footprints and overproduction in the apparel and retail industry are rapidly going out of fashion. To achieve a more sustainable world, the industry must become more sustainable. One brand doing just that is UK childrenswear brand, Frugi.
Its approach to sustainable fashion has quickly propelled the brands – and its message – to growth. But while making fashion sustainable is on trend, its commitment to replacing the pursuit of profit with a truly ethical purpose has been a sustained journey.
In May, it became the first childrenswear brand to join the Circular Textiles Foundation – an organisation that helps brands and manufacturers ensure that clothing is designed to be suitable for recycling.
In this episode of The Interview Series, we sit down in conversation with its CEO, Sarah Clark, to explore how sustainable fashion has changed; the brand’s plan for growth; what a sustained approach to business growth looks like; how to better influence and empower customers to live more sustainably; and how can it replace the pursuit of profit, and to reflect on her first year in post.
